Product of the Day

Apologies for the fact the photo is the wrong way up, i have edited it numerous times but its not having any of it, maybe someone can help me?
ANYWAY.... Product of the day is Barry M Lipstick shade 62 (around £4.59)- as you can see its extremely bright, and i ALWAYS get comments when i wear this!
The formula is really creamy, and although i tend not to wear it with a gloss, my friend did and it looked amazing! The only downside to this is that it is quite hard to remove, you'll find yourself still trying to remove it the day after, however you know you can go all night without having to reapply. Teamed with a black dress and the rest of your makeup toned down, this looks really classy and girly, perfect for the festive season, i know i'll definitely be wearing it !

Is it all about MAC?

For a long time I've been FASCINATED, like many of you by mac products, i mean who isn't?? I have a (very) small number of mac products, which i LOVE but do i love them because they are such good quality or are they more of a novelty?
MAC products are, and probably always will be on my wish list, but after reading hundreds of reviews by different people, MAC doesn't seem to be always best, and lucky for people like me who are on a budget, there are many products out there which are dupes of MAC products (thanks missbudgetbeauty!)
I don't really know the purpose of this post, but it has just been playing on my mind for a while - do i save up and take a trip to the MAC counter, or do i spend my money on products which are just as good quality but for a fraction of the cost?? Yes, I'm confused too !
What are your thoughts????

Pretty Peepers

Of all the makeup products i've been excited to buy, this was definitely up there. I mean, an eyeliner that looks and applies just like a felt tip?! I can hear people telling me to get a life, but the idea fascinated me! Barry M Wink Eyeliner (around £4.59) was initially my new favourite product! However, after only a short amount of time, the pen has become quite dry, and gives more of a grey line rather than black. Because the pen is so thick, its really quite tricky to create a thin more subtle line, so if thats what you're looking to achieve i wouldn't recommend this. My best friend purchased this when i did, and having the BIGGEST eyes I've ever seen they looked amazing when teamed with this product.
Although this review doesn't appear to, i would recommend this product, purely for the fact it's different to other liquid eyeliners out there, and after a little bit of practice, very easy to apply. It has long durability, and is quite difficult to smudge, perfect for liquid eyeliner beginners! When i have found my camera, i will post some pictures so you can get a better of idea, but for now, go buy this product!

Cheap and Cheerful?

So... i love to try anything once and seen as the price of these products were so reasonable (2 packs of cotton pads £1, 2 packets of wipes £1) why not invest !

The Facial Cleansing Wipes = I won't be re-purchasing these as they weren't gentle to my face, and actually stung, particularly around the eye area, despite the fact i don't really have sensitive skin. They did remove the majority of my makeup, however when i cleansed afterwards there was a bit more 'grime' than usual ! Having said alllllll that, i don't feel disappointed as they were so purse friendly, and i still managed to use up both packets ! (Please note there are other face wipes from this range that claim to do different things, but as i picked them up whilst at the till i felt pressured and picked the first ones i saw - silly i know!)

The Cotton Pads = yeyyyyyy i WILL be re-purchasing these (and have done since) as they did not disappoint. The texture slightly varies to other cotton pads I've used, as they have tiny lines indented, which almost made them feel more exfoliating which i liked! The only downside is that these cotton pads come apart quite easy, leaving a small amount excess fluff, however due to their price i honestly don't care!

I'm getting acrylics !

Tomorrow i'm getting my first set of acrylic nails, how exciting! (for me anyway),
I am someone who is ALWAYS wearing nail polish, but i fancy a change, and i am hoping they will be of less maintenance than painting my nails every few days!
Since ive never had them before, do i need to carry out any preparation beforehand? Do i cut my nails short? Please help me, i'd love to hear from you !
